The Energy Department will help host a live webinar titled “Top Solar Tools: What are they and how do they help policymakers?” on Wednesday, May 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. As part of the Solar Technical Assistance Team's Do-It-Yourself Solar Market Analysis summer series, this webinar will give an overview of the basics behind some of the most popular solar energy tools available to policymakers. Attendees will learn the optimal approaches for using energy calculators such as PVWatts, financial estimators like JEDI, and solar data aggregators such as OpenPV. Register to attend the webinar.

The Energy Department will also present a live webinar titled “Building Energy Optimization Tool (BEopt) Training” on Thursday, May 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time. This webinar will train attendees on how to use the BEopt tool, which was developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory through the Energy Department’s Building America Program.
